Kozhikode: Two officers of Kerala Public Works Department (PWD) were suspended Monday for initiating repairs on a road devoid of any significant defects.Minister for PWD, PA Muhammad Riyas issued the order to suspend Kunnamangalam assistant engineer, G Biju and overseer, PK Dhanya based on a report he had sought.

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala on Monday reported 29 fresh cases of the Omicron variant of coronavirus.So far 181 Omicron cases have been reported in the state. However, after 42 persons recovered on the day, there are 139 active cases of the Omicron variant in Kerala.
