Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Education Department has decided to take stern action against the teachers, who are not willing to take vaccination for COVID-19 even a month after schools reopened in the State after a spell of long lockdown.Medical boards will be constituted to examine those teachers who have not taken the vaccines citing health issues.
Thiruvananthapuram: In a move to apparently encourage everyone to get fully vaccinated, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday said anyone not following COVID-19 preventive measures, like vaccination, will not be provided free treatment.
Kochi: Saiju Thankachan has been remanded in police custody for three more days in connection with probe into the car accident which claimed three lives including former miss Kerala and first runner-up. The court remanded Saiju in police custody till December 2 after considering the request of the probe team here on Tuesday.
Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala recorded 4,723 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, informed the health department in a press release.Along with 19 new COVID deaths, the health department also reported 158 deaths that are newly certified as Covid-19 deaths based on the revised rules. With this, the death toll climbed to 40,132 in the state.

Kochi: Police found the man who went missing after a car crash claimed the life of a woman at Kalamassery here on Tuesday. Varapuzha native Jibin who travelled with the woman in the car was spotted at his house. Police informed that Jibin returned to his house as he was not severely injured in the accident. The police raised suspicion over Jibin’s missing from the accident spot.

Pathanamthitta: A 19-year-old student from Kerala died in a freak firing in Montgomery, United States, on Monday.The deceased has been identified as Mariam Susan Mathew, a native of Thiruvalla in southern Kerala.
